Fall has arrived!

Well, after yet another busy week, it seems that summer is nearly over. While we are ready to slow down a bit, the reality of another cold winter is slowly setting in.

Avery and I spent a good part of the week at home, as she picked up a horrible case of The Croup somewhere along the way. To those of you who have never had the pleasure of encountering the croup, think Cranky Resident Seal. What started out as a little cold, turned into a few sleepless nights, a visit to the Hospital (though our wallets are thanking us for not officially checking in, and using our better judgement in waiting to see the doctor in the morning), and a couple of doctor's visits as well. Did I mention the smoke? Oh yeah, there were two fires somewhere in the region and all the smoke was being blown into Hailey. Let me tell you people, this was FUN!!! Sick child that can't breathe+ smoke = Crazy Mom......

Anyway, we decided on Thursday that we would have to forego our once in a lifetime chance to see the Famous Budweiser Clydesdales ( they participated in our Local Wagon Days Labor Day Celebration's 50th Year) and leave the Smoky Place we call home. For a little less hazardous air we trekked to Missoula (MT) and spent the weekend with Justin's Mom Debra, and John. It was very low key. We spent most of the time either eating or drinking ( though none for me of course- for those that don't know yet, Baby number 2 is due in March) and watching Avery ride her bike, read books, drawing or something of the like. We were introduced to Nemo, and we have been bombarded by Nemo requests ever since ( shhhh don't tell Justin I gave his secret away!). The weather was unseasonably cool, but really pleasant. There is just something about a Rainy Sunday. On the drive home, we were faced with Winter's Reality... SNOW!!! It was in most of the mountains on the way home, and on Galena Summit (near the house), as well as much cooler temperatures. All I can say to that is.... Cheers?????

Hope everyone is well. Check back soon!

Krista,
The photo of the three of you is so adorable!! I love it. We love you. I am sitting at the airport in Missoula waiting for my flight. Hugs and Kisses to Avery. John can't stop talking about her, he is "in love" he said he feels like a real Grandpa, he is so sweet with Avery.
